VACANCY FOR PARISH COUNCILLOR

We currently have a vacancy for a Parish Councillor.

If you are care about your community and the village you live in, we’d love to hear from you. Being a councillor is a rewarding way to help shape the place you live and work.

As a Parish Councillor, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Influence local decisions and shape the future of our community.
  • Work in partnership with fellow councillors and community members to address important issues.
  • Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the table.
  • Support local initiatives and projects that benefit residents.
  • Act as a voice for residents and represent their interests effectively.

No prior experience is necessary – just a willingness to collaborate and make a difference. We welcome your enthusiasm and commitment.

You may think Councillors spend their time attending meetings but it’s much more interesting than that. There is a monthly council meeting of course, but you can also participate in community events, and engage with residents to understand their needs and concerns. There are other Parish Council teams and representatives that you may be interested in joining as well, for example the Parish Enhancement Group, Pavilion Working Party and Local Planning.

This is a voluntary position, but the rewards are invaluable – the satisfaction of knowing you’re making a real difference and helping to build a stronger, more vibrant community. If you’re ready to take on this exciting challenge and become a driving force for positive change, we want to hear from you!

For more information, please contact the Parish Clerk at clerk@headleypc.co.uk If you would like to find out what it is like to be a Councillor we would be pleased to arrange an informal chat with one of our Councillors.

Join us and help make a difference in Headley!
