Parish Enhancement Group
The Parish Enhancement Group (PEG) is a working group made up of Parish Councillors and volunteers from the local community. As the name suggests, the Group’s aim is to enhance the appeal of the area by improving the condition, sustainability and resilience of existing features of Headley Parish and where possible and appropriate, creating new ones. The PEG’s activities will principally be focused on land owned by the Parish Council but may include working in partnership with other public authorities, land-owners and interested groups to enhance other local features and places. The Terms of Reference are available here.
Memorial Benches and Trees
When loved ones die, their friends and relatives will often want to commemorate them with a lasting memorial. This could be in the form of a tree, bench or plaque which not only honours their memory but provides a beautiful and functional improvement to the local environment and the community.
Headley Parish Council is happy to consider requests, but it is important to remember that public land is enjoyed by a wide range of local residents and other users. When siting memorial trees and benches, the Parish Council will always take into account existing benches, trees, geographical features and soil conditions before accepting a donation.
