Bus Shelter Upgrades

It can’t have escaped anyone’s notice that our bus shelters in Headley have been looking the worse for wear. The metal and Perspex shelters have gone green with mossy growth, and the wooden ones have lost glazing and panels. There is good news though, Headley Parish Council has been awarded a grant by EHDC to clean and refurbish our bus shelters at no cost to our residents! All will have a thorough clean and any missing parts replaced. In some shelters the waiting and seating space will be improved. The work will take place from now through August. Cleaning will be a quick job, but some of the shelters that require repair might take a bit longer. The worker’s vans may have to park in the road while they do their job, so we apologise in advance if this causes any local inconvenience. We are sure you will agree it will be worth it – even if you don’t use the bus shelters, at least they will look nice!

P.S. The recent clean and re-paint of the telephone box containing the defibrillator outside The Hollybush pub was not part of this programme – it was done entirely by volunteers from Headley Parish Council and friends.
