New Life-Saving Defibrillator Installed!

We are delighted to announce that a new automated external defibrillator (AED) is now fully installed and ready for use in our community.

Where is it?
You can find it right by the Allotment gates on the corner of Liphook Road and May Close. (what3words Location: ///camps.surprises.shave). It is accessible 24/7 to anyone in an emergency. This is the nearest public AED for residents in the Hilland Rise area.

Thank You!
This vital piece of equipment was made possible entirely through the generosity and support of local grants and community funding. A big thank you to:

  • Cllr. Anthony Williams (EHDC) for an £805 Councillor Grant.
  • Cllr. Richard Millard (EHDC) for a £300 Councillor Grant.
  • Headley Allotment Holders Association for donating £240.

Why is this AED so important?

  • Every second counts: In a cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chance of survival by up to 10%.
  • Anyone can use it: You do not need formal training. The machine gives clear, spoken, step-by-step instructions.
  • 100% safe: The device automatically scans the patient and will only shock if it is medically necessary.

Learn How to Use It!
While the machine is foolproof, confidence saves lives. Look out for announcements for our planned CPR and Defibrillator training days coming soon!

Other public Access AEDs in Headley are located at the Village Hall, outside the One-Stop shop in Headley Down, in the telephone box by the Holly Bush pub and outside the Headley Pavilion.

Please share this post so everyone in our local area knows where to find this life-saving equipment!
