Hat Trick for District Councillor Anthony Williams – Grant Awarded for Third Headley Defibrillator

District Councillor Anthony Williams and Headley Village Hall Chairman Neil Hardinge

Cllr Anthony Williams was delighted to offer an East Hampshire District Councillor’s Grant to the Headley Village Hall Trustees towards the cost of the installation of a Defibrillator. The new defibrillator has been installed at the front entrance to Headley Village Hall, Arford Road.

This is the third defibrillator to be installed in Headley with the support of a grant from Cllr Williams. The other locations are outside One Stop, Headley Down and in the telephone box on Headley High Street.

In the UK, around 75,000 people lose their lives due to sudden cardiac arrest every year. Swift access to defibrillation improves survival rates from less than 3% to over 75%.

Cllr Williams said “I was delighted to assist with the funding of a defibrillator for the Village Hall. Whilst I hope that it never needs to be used, it provides a valuable asset in the case of an emergency. I would like to thank the Village Hall Trustees for arranging and part funding this life saving equipment.”
