Energy rebate payments on their way to direct debit council tax payers

22,000 East Hampshire council tax payers in homes in bands A to D who pay using direct debit will soon receive their energy rebate payments of £150. Residents in band E homes who receive Disabled Persons Relief will also receive a payment. .

Most customers will receive their payment from Monday 25 April.

East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) will have paid out a total of £3.3million through this route.

The £150 rebate will show in bank accounts as being received from East Hampshire District Council or EHDC.

If you do not pay by direct debit or your direct debit details do not match the council tax payer, we will be writing to you in May to explain how you can claim the £150 Energy Rebate.

Councillor Charles Louisson, EHDC Finance portfolio holder, said:  “I am very proud that we’ve been able to turn these payments around so quickly following their announcement.  “I encourage those council tax payers who are not paying by direct debit to keep an eye out for our letter in May.”
