Pavilion Caretaker/Facilities Officer – Job Share

We have an exciting opportunity for two local people to share the varied role of Pavilion Caretaker and Facilities Co-ordinator. The role is based in Headley, Hampshire GU35 0PD and the Pavilion is being fully refurbished at present.

Shared duties include acting as primary keyholders, the opening and closing of the pavilion as required and the movement of furniture and equipment according to users’ needs.

We envisage a split in the other duties according to the interests and abilities of the candidates but this might be as follows:

Person 1 Routine Maintenance/handyman Grounds Supervisor Alarms and fire extinguisher management Equipment Inspections on and off site Health & Safety Utilities and meter readings Contractor Supervision  Person 2 Stock & equipment management Ordering consumables Supervision of cleaner and cleaning requirements Club and user liaison Representative on Sports & Social Committee Bar operation co-ordinator

The Pavilion will be available 7 days per week 08.30 – 22.30 but not open all the time.  Sports use is mainly at weekends so suggested but flexible split is 3.5 days each including either a Saturday or Sunday and some evenings.

Salary based on £24,500 per annum (37.5 hr week) pro rata plus Local Government Pension Scheme if eligible. Additional pay to open, close and set up the pavilion for use when co-sharer on holiday. 4 weeks’ holiday plus pro rata Bank Holidays.
